Nan's on third is a women’s consignment boutique, that is now in the heart of historic downtown Hillsboro. Nan Harding, Julies mother had this great idea to start a consignment shop in 2 farmhouses in Orenco, opening in 1979, known as Nan’s Glad Rags. We decided to Move back to Hillsboro in 2017 and we think it is the best move yet.
You will know, when you walk through the door why NAN'S has been in business for over 40 years. We have had many of the same customers for years that still come in to shop. Nan loved the excitement and the one of a kind treasures you can find when you shop resale. The same love for the store carried over to her daughter, Julie, who has owned the shop since 2003.
When we moved to 3rd Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon, we decide to update the business name to “NAN’S ON THIRD”. With all the beautiful displays, cleanliness, and organization you can tell it is their passion. Keeping the business fine-tuned and up to the minute with all the new technology helps the business thrive.
We have always been a family run business through the years, but our hard-working employees that are caring and always ready to help, play a big part of keeping the store fun and running smoothly. The staff is great with coordinating outfits for you and offering great fashion ideas.
None of this could happen without our loyal, devoted customers!
New to resale? It is smart, stylish and can be profitable too. Bringing clothes into consign is a great way to clean out your closet and refresh your wardrobe. We like to think of resale shopping like a treasure hunt! The savings can be unbelievable and the possibility of using the store credit you earn towards something wonderful is a win/win. Another big plus is by recycling, reusing your ex-loved items to someone who will love them again is also helping to save our environment.
Nan still comes and "works for clothes" once a week. She likes to keep in touch with the customers and see the fantastic fashions that come in every day.
